It may be getting hotter outside, but we all know that swimsuit-with-shorts weather won’t last forever. So, while you’re running around having fun, remember to look for inspiration to build your fall wardrobe. This outfit was inspired by a summer sunset – bright color on the bottom with a pale blue on top!
We’re not thinking just about fall though – we love pieces that can be worn now and later. As a whole, this outfit is better for mid-late September weather here in the Mid South. By themselves, each piece can be worn now. These cute paprika DL1961 jeans go great with a variety of summer tops, like the easy cream tank we layered with the 7 for All Mankind chambray blouse. Take the blouse and put it with cute shorts, or a swishy summer skirt. And sandals – well, those you should wear with pretty much everything. (You can’t tell from the photo, but they sparkle!)

Who doesn’t love a great pink and navy combo? This knit dress from Studio 342 gets major style points for its classic look. That pink and cream stripe paired with the navy skirt AND pink button detail – we love it. Throw on your pink Superga sneaks and you are ready for that sightseeing tour of England (or the first day of school)!
What can we say? The bohemian look is one of our favorite summer styles! This new top from Roxy has a cold shoulder detail and goes great with denim of all colors. Since it gets pretty hot here, we suggest some shorts and these TOMS Correa sandals. But if you prefer long pants, do a cute chunky cuff, which will still show off the cute ankle strap.
This lemon dress is super comfortable AND super cute. This fashion win comes in multiple colorways, shown below.
While the above picture shows off a dress, it also features a sweet hairstyle. We love the idea of an ornamented pony! Put in a slightly messy high pony and add a cute accent. We suggest ribbon, flowers, or a clip that matches your dress.
This two-piece skirt set from Elisa B is an adorable alternative to a dress this Spring season. We’ve shown it here with a Mayoral sweater, Old Soles shoes and Baked Beads jewelry for events like Cotillion or church. Change into your favorite wedges and ditch the sweater for a late spring party/dance. And since we’re working with separates, you can get even more wears by mixing this with other pieces: put the skirt with a white tee and a denim jacket, and show the top off with your best white jeans. However you wear it, you know you’ll look fab, thanks to SachiGirl.

The scallop print dress in peach is a classic cotton number from Maggie Breen while the ivory lace-look is a knit dress from Ragdoll & Rockets. The shoes are ballet flats from Old Soles (yes, they have real arch supports!). The necklace on the cream dress has a sparkly coral donut charm.
Whether playing on the beach or in a field, you’ll be very cute in this outfit inspired by American traditions like cotton and denim. Easy knit shorts in a denim-look from Tea Collection pair perfectly with this breezy woven top from Mimi & Maggie. The cream embroidery at the neckline is just the right girly touch without going overboard. Try Toms’ lace-up paseo shoes in natural burlap as a cute tennis shoe alternative. They stay on your feet, and you can wear them with or without socks. Finish the look with double french braids. Photo op: weave thin ribbons or small flowers into your braids if sitting for a portrait.
