Just Around the Corner…

7fam and DL1961 with TOMS

It may be getting hotter outside, but we all know that swimsuit-with-shorts weather won’t last forever. So, while you’re running around having fun, remember to look for inspiration to build your fall wardrobe. This outfit was inspired by a summer sunset – bright color on the bottom with a pale blue on top!

We’re not thinking just about fall though – we love pieces that can be worn now and later. As a whole, this outfit is better for mid-late September weather here in the Mid South. By themselves, each piece can be worn now. These cute paprika DL1961 jeans go great with a variety of summer tops, like the easy cream tank we layered with the 7 for All Mankind chambray blouse. Take the blouse and put it with cute shorts, or a swishy summer skirt. And sandals – well, those you should wear with pretty much everything. (You can’t tell from the photo, but they sparkle!)

Plus, they look perfect with play outfits or dresses! We have stock in girls sizes 12 to 6. (And if you didn’t know, a girls 6 is the same as a ladies 8.) The Cheetah print is a linen fabric with a subtle glitter overlay, while the other is a perfect light chambray.

What to Wear to the Ballet

Ballet Memphis’ beautiful production of Prokofiev’s Cinderella is this weekend! The grand Orpheum Theatre is the venue for this event. It’s the perfect occasion to dress up and have fun. Go here to get tickets to performances on Saturday or Sunday. Come to Sachi this weekend to get styled – we have a couple suggestions below!

We love the idea of wearing a full tulle skirt to the ballet. You will feel like a princess in this gauzy gown from Mimi and Maggie. And as Cindy could tell you, never underestimate the power of a good pair of shoes. We suggest this sparkly silver heel from Nina as the perfect complement.

Of course, we have other options as well, such as this pearl-studded piece from Biscotti. The blue underlay evokes the “classic”/animated image of Cinderella, while the Yosi Samra flats are both adorable and easy to wear.

Fit for a Fairy

Ballet Memphis’ production of Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker” is almost over, but you can still catch performances tonight at 7:00pm and tomorrow afternoon at 2:00. Go here for tickets.  Still need an outfit? Here’s a look inspired by the sugarplum fairy herself. We think it would look simply stunning at the Orpheum.

Look like a sugarplum princess.

Can’t go see the show this year? Here’s a rendition of “Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy” to tide you over.
